Created to help and support Alford

The Alford Chronicle is run by a team of dedicated volunteers from The Alford Hub. The aim of this free online newspaper is to support local businesses and shop, whilst providing a platform for the schools, sports, community groups, councils and churches to stay in touch with the people of Alford.

Launched on July 1st 2020, The Alford Chronicle was able to be the legacy of the COVID-19 Pandemic. It demonstrates what can be achieved by working together for the greater good. Things like this don’t happen, without a lot of hard work behind the scenes. Special thanks must go to Simon at Focused All Day for building the site and donating his time and expertise to The Alford Chronicle. Simon saw how dedicated all the volunteers at Alford Hub were in supporting the people of Alford and the surrounding villages. Without his skills, we simply would not have got the online paper off the ground. Thanks also must go to Lynne Le Voi and her team at Alford Craft Market for designing and donating the logo and thanks must also go to Kev Pryke for paying for all the hosting, registering the domain name and all associated costs for the first year.

Thank you to all the volunteers who have submitted editorial, chased advertising and most of all believed in the Alford Chronicle. We know that this will grow and evolve into something wonderful.
